Photo of the Week (10 October 2016)
Another week and another image from the “cat photos” catalog. Last week we were treated to Seven and this week it’s the very serious Nora.
Nora is a tuxedo cat that found me in a parking lot in the Nana area of Bangkok. He was tiny and just decided he was going to roll under the back of my motorcycle tire and stay there while meowing at me. Needless to say, he came home with me. In fact, he’s sleeping on my leg as I’m writing.
I think this is the first photograph that I had taken after buying my Nikon D5300 DSLR camera. I think Nora was a bit confused, every other cat portrait I’ve attempted with Nora has involved him running out of the frame or hiding at the last moment.
Personally, I like this photo because it features my cat, plus it’s rare for me to get any photos of Nora, let alone with his posing such as this week’s featured photo.
Nora, he’s an intense cat. He’s very serious and acts tough, but really he loves the snuggles.
Everyone loves cat photos. If you’re reading this, you probably came because of the picture, a photo of the cat.
Cats are bit more difficult to control and that can make for some amazing photos. However, it can make for some disappointing misses. I’m sure dogs are easier. Well, maybe not much easier although they do respond to commands. Cats can be a bit too independent, but that’s what I think fascinates people about these furry and cuddly killing machines.
For those readers who don’t absolutely adore cats, I’m certain that it’ll be some time before another cat photo is featured. Have a good week and keep an eye on Shane Hebzynski Photography.
